While we found that it does perform exceptionally well and has a beautiful design, it is not without some notable faults.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, we&#8217;ll be taking an in-depth look at the Jolie Filtered Shower Head, exploring everything from design to performance. By the end of this review, you&#8217;ll know whether or not this is the right filtered showerhead for your needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Design<\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lavatorylab.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/jolie-shower-head-product-image-1024x1024.webp\" alt=\"jolie shower head product image\" class=\"wp-image-1140\" width=\"768\" height=\"768\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Typically shower filters are oversized eyesores resting firmly between the shower arm and the shower head. Not only is the Jolie Filtered Shower Head one of the sleekest and most modern designs we&#8217;ve seen, but it&#8217;s also compact and takes up very little space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The circular and muted color palette of the shower filter will fit in perfectly with any bathroom&#8217;s aesthetic, and its small size means it won&#8217;t get in the way or be an eyesore. Additionally, the all-in-one design won&#8217;t lower a shower head &#8211; a common problem with in-line shower filters like the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/lavatorylab.com\/shower-filter\/aquabliss-sf100-review\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">AquaBliss SF100<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/lavatorylab.com\/shower-filter\/aquayouth-2-0-shower-filter-review\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">AquaYouth 2.0<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jolie offers up this shower filter in several finishes, which include the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Brushed steel<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Modern chrome<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pebble grey<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cloud white and soft rose<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jet black<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vibrant red<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Truly a best-in-class design, the Jolie Filtered Shower Head is one of the best-looking shower filters we&#8217;ve ever seen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Filtration Media<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As beautiful as the Jolie Filtered Showerhead may look, it&#8217;s what&#8217;s on the inside that counts &#8211; and in this case, Jolie relies on a KDF-55 and calcium sulfite filtration media to do the hard work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>KDF-55 is a proprietary filtration media made from copper and zinc that has been proven effective in removing chlorine, heavy metals, and other contaminants (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kdfft.com\/products.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">source<\/a>). In addition, calcium sulfite further helps to reduce up to 99% of chlorine found in water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ultimately, the filtration allows your skin and hair to feel softer with each shower while also being protected from harmful chemicals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, it bears repeating that<strong>&nbsp;all shower filters cannot thoroughly remove chloramines<\/strong>, an ammonia and chlorine compound sometimes used to disinfect water. If your municipality uses chloramines, you can usually find this online or by simply calling them, and it&#8217;s important to factor this into your decision-making process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, the shower filter won&#8217;t be able to soften hard water. We discuss&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/lavatorylab.com\/shower-filter\/how-much-will-a-shower-filter-remove-from-your-water\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the limitations of shower filters here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Compatibility<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks to the standard 1\/2&#8243; threads, the Jolie Filtered Shower Head will be compatible with your existing shower arm. However, depending on the type of shower arm you have, there could be some potential issues, particularly on the range of motion of the swivel ball joint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Installation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Like installing a shower head, the Jolie Filtered Shower Head is a quick and easy process that anyone can do in a matter of minutes. The shower filter has all the necessary hardware and an illustrated guide that makes the process straightforward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To install the shower head, you&#8217;ll just want to follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Remove your existing shower head.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clean any remaining plumbers&#8217; tape from the shower arm threads.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wrap the threads in new plumbers&#8217; tape (included) in a clockwise direction.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hand-tighten the shower filter onto the shower arm until snug.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>With the included wrench, give the shower filter an extra 1\/4 turn to ensure a tight seal.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"How to Install your Jolie\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/lI-u74bnnTw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Initial Costs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>At $165, the Jolie Filtered Shower Head isn&#8217;t cheap. However, they offer a subscription plan that provides discounted replacement filters every 90 days &#8211; which you will need. The subscription plan will save you $17.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To put the cost of this shower filter into context, the popular&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/lavatorylab.com\/shower-filter\/aquabliss-sf100-review\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">AquaBliss SF100<\/a>&nbsp;only costs $35,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/lavatorylab.com\/shower-filter\/aquasana-aq-4100-review\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">AquaSana AQ-4100<\/a>&nbsp;costs $72 (with shower head), and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/lavatorylab.com\/shower-filter\/aquayouth-2-0-shower-filter-review\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">AquaYouth 2.0<\/a>&nbsp;at $60. All of which offer similar filtration media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Maintenance Costs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Jolie recommends replacing their cartridge once every 90 days or four times per year. If you opt to forgo the subscription savings, you&#8217;ll have to pay $36 per refill or about $144 per year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you were to shower daily, this equates to roughly $0.40 per shower &#8211; which is quite expensive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Warranty<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We always like it when a company offers a warranty on their product. It demonstrates that they stand by their product and are willing to back it up. Unfortunately, there are no such assurances with the Jolie Filtered Shower Head.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When searching high and low on their site, we couldn&#8217;t find any mention of a warranty. However, given the high price tag, this is something potential customers will want to consider before making their purchase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Note: They do offer a 60-day no-questions-asked return policy.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Alternative Models<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>At the moment, Jolie only makes a fixed shower head. So if you prefer a handheld model or are looking for something different, you&#8217;ll need to look elsewhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Flow Rate<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With a flow rate of 1.8 gallons per minute (GPM), this shower head can be safely installed in California. However, most people living elsewhere may find the limited flow not ideal, especially if you never want to compromise on your water pressure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Note: For reference, most shower heads have a flow rate of 2.0 or 2.5 GPM.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Other Options<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As we have covered exhaustively in our other&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/lavatorylab.com\/shower-filter\/best-shower-filter\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">shower filter reviews<\/a>, several different shower filters are available on the market. The main advantage of this system is that it&#8217;s one of the more affordable options, costing around $60. However, it does require frequent replacement of the filter cartridge.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/lavatorylab.com\/shower-filter\/aquabliss-sf100-review\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>AquaBliss SF100<\/strong><\/a>: The AquaBliss is one of the most popular shower filters on the market, and for a good reason. It&#8217;s a solid performer that&#8217;s very affordable, costing only $35.
